Cài SwiftDesk trên macOS

Gói SwiftDesk-macOS.pkg cài đúng một ứng dụng: /Applications/SwiftDesk.app. Đây là bản universal, chạy trên Intel và Apple silicon, từ macOS 12.

Trong mọi trang cài đặt quyền, mục bạn cần bật luôn có tên SwiftDesk. Khi cài, gói tự gỡ các bản cũ: SwiftDesk Host, app SwiftDesk đời cũ và bản nằm trong ~/Applications/SwiftDesk.

Bước 1: cài gói

  1. Tải gói .pkg rồi bấm đúp để mở.
  2. Nếu macOS báo không mở được vì không xác minh được nhà phát triển: mở System Settings → Privacy & Security, kéo xuống cuối trang, bấm Open Anyway rồi nhập mật khẩu máy. Mở lại gói.
  3. Bấm Continue → Install, rồi nhập mật khẩu máy. Cài xong, SwiftDesk tự chạy và biểu tượng của nó hiện trên thanh menu. Bạn không cần mở ứng dụng nào khác.

Bước 2: quyền ghi màn hình (bắt buộc)

  1. Ngay sau khi cài, macOS hiện hộp thoại “SwiftDesk” would like to record this computer’s screen. Bấm Open System Settings.
  2. Trang cài đặt mở ra: Screen & System Audio Recording (macOS 15 trở lên) hoặc Screen Recording (macOS 12–14). Mục SwiftDesk đã nằm sẵn trong danh sách. Bật công tắc của nó và xác nhận bằng mật khẩu hoặc Touch ID. Bạn không cần dùng nút “+”.
  3. Nếu macOS hỏi Quit & Reopen, bấm nút nào cũng được. Vài giây sau khi bạn bật quyền, SwiftDesk tự khởi động lại và bắt đầu chụp màn hình.
  4. Nếu lỡ đóng hộp thoại: bấm biểu tượng SwiftDesk trên thanh menu, chọn dòng ⚠ để mở đúng trang cài đặt.

Bước 3: quyền điều khiển chuột và bàn phím

  1. macOS hiện hộp thoại “SwiftDesk” would like to control this computer using accessibility features. Bấm Open System Settings.
  2. Trong Privacy & Security → Accessibility, bật SwiftDesk. Quyền này có hiệu lực ngay, không cần khởi động lại.

Kiểm tra đã xong chưa

  • Menu SwiftDesk trên thanh menu không còn dòng ⚠.
  • Từ máy khác kết nối tới máy này: thấy màn hình, và di chuột, gõ phím được.
  • Hoặc chạy trong Terminal: curl -s http://127.0.0.1:7340/api/info. Mục "screens" phải có ít nhất một màn hình, không được là [].

Bật rồi mà vẫn không chạy

Nhiều dòng giống nhau: SwiftDesk Host, swiftdesk-host, swiftdesk hoặc hai dòng SwiftDeskĐó là dấu vết của các bản cũ. Chọn từng dòng, bấm “−” để xoá hết, rồi chạy trong Terminal launchctl kickstart -k gui/$(id -u)/dev.swiftdesk.host. SwiftDesk tự thêm lại một dòng mới; bạn bật dòng đó.
Đã bật SwiftDesk mà màn hình vẫn đenTắt rồi bật lại công tắc và chờ khoảng 5 giây. Nếu vẫn đen, chạy tccutil reset ScreenCapture dev.swiftdesk.host rồi lệnh launchctl kickstart ở dòng trên, sau đó cấp quyền lại từ bước 2.
Không thấy hộp thoại, không thấy SwiftDesk trong danh sáchKiểm tra SwiftDesk có đang chạy không: launchctl print gui/$(id -u)/dev.swiftdesk.host | grep state. Nếu không chạy, cài lại gói .pkg. Log nằm ở /tmp/swiftdesk-host.log.

Mac không có màn hình

Với Mac không gắn màn hình (ví dụ Mac mini), việc cấp quyền bắt buộc phải thao tác trên chính màn hình của Mac đó. Dùng Screen Sharing của macOS (VNC cổng 5900) để vào và bật quyền: trong SwiftDesk, thêm Mac đó ở tab Connect to another computer với loại VNC, rồi đăng nhập bằng tên tài khoản và mật khẩu Mac. Cập nhật

Trên Mac, bản cập nhật mở Installer và hỏi mật khẩu máy. Từ bản 0.12.1, mọi bản SwiftDesk được ký cùng một chứng chỉ, nên macOS giữ nguyên hai quyền qua các lần cập nhật. Lần đầu nâng cấp từ bản cũ hơn, bạn có thể phải bật lại quyền một lần theo bước 2 và bước 3.

Install SwiftDesk on macOS

SwiftDesk-macOS.pkg installs exactly one app: /Applications/SwiftDesk.app, a universal build for Intel and Apple silicon, macOS 12 or later.

On every permissions page, the entry to switch on is always called SwiftDesk. The package removes older copies: SwiftDesk Host, the old SwiftDesk app and the copy in ~/Applications/SwiftDesk.

Step 1: install the package

  1. Download the .pkg and double-click it.
  2. If macOS says it cannot verify the developer: open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom, click Open Anyway and enter your password. Open the package again.
  3. Click Continue → Install and enter your password. SwiftDesk starts by itself and its icon appears in the menu bar. There is nothing else to open.

Step 2: Screen Recording (required)

  1. Right after the install macOS shows “SwiftDesk” would like to record this computer’s screen. Click Open System Settings.
  2. The page that opens is Screen & System Audio Recording (macOS 15 and later) or Screen Recording (macOS 12–14). SwiftDesk is already in the list. Switch it on and confirm with your password or Touch ID. You do not need the “+” button.
  3. If macOS offers Quit & Reopen, either button is fine. A few seconds after you switch it on, SwiftDesk restarts by itself and starts capturing.
  4. Closed the dialog by mistake? Click the SwiftDesk icon in the menu bar and choose the ⚠ line to open the right page.

Step 3: Accessibility (mouse and keyboard)

  1. macOS shows “SwiftDesk” would like to control this computer using accessibility features. Click Open System Settings.
  2. Under Privacy & Security → Accessibility, switch on SwiftDesk. It applies immediately; no restart needed.

Check that it works

  • The SwiftDesk menu in the menu bar has no ⚠ line.
  • From another device you see the screen and can move the mouse and type.
  • Or in Terminal: curl -s http://127.0.0.1:7340/api/info. "screens" must list at least one screen, not [].

Switched on but still not working

Several similar entries: SwiftDesk Host, swiftdesk-host, swiftdesk or two SwiftDesk linesLeftovers from older versions. Select each one and click “−” to remove them all, then run launchctl kickstart -k gui/$(id -u)/dev.swiftdesk.host in Terminal. SwiftDesk adds one fresh entry; switch that one on.
SwiftDesk is on but the screen is still blackSwitch it off and on again and wait about 5 seconds. If it is still black, run tccutil reset ScreenCapture dev.swiftdesk.host, then the launchctl kickstart command above, and grant it again from step 2.
No dialog and no SwiftDesk in the listCheck that SwiftDesk is running: launchctl print gui/$(id -u)/dev.swiftdesk.host | grep state. If it is not, install the .pkg again. The log is /tmp/swiftdesk-host.log.

A Mac without a display

On a Mac with no display attached (a Mac mini, for example), permissions can only be granted on that Mac’s own screen. Use macOS Screen Sharing (VNC on port 5900) to get in and switch them on: in SwiftDesk, add that Mac in the Connect to another computer tab as a VNC entry and sign in with the Mac account name and password. Updating

On a Mac, an update opens Installer and asks for your password. From 0.12.1 on every SwiftDesk build is signed with the same certificate, so macOS keeps both permissions across updates. The first upgrade from an older version may ask once more; repeat steps 2 and 3.
